PTO's "Special Needs" Committee

Dunellen’s PTO has added a “Special Needs” committee to its organization.  This committee’s vision is to spread awareness, sponsor special events, fundraise and provide education on disabilities affiliated with Dunellen’s special needs children. 

 Some examples would be:

• To provide lectures and workshops open to Dunellen’s parents, teachers and aides

• Take part in Special Needs Awareness week

• Support the monthly Special Needs Newsletter

• Assist the Parent Support Group

• Incorporate special needs awareness into school assemblies and events

• Focus on Aide, Special Services and Special Educator appreciation; and

• Fundraising for Special Services
