Dunellen HS Drama presents Disney’s In just a few weeks, the Dunellen High School Drama Club will present a musical for the entire family, Disney’s Beauty & The Beast! About the Show Disney's Beauty & The Beast is the classic love story of Belle, a beautiful, yet misunderstood young woman, and the Beast, an arrogant prince who has been turned into an animal by the spell of a mysterious enchantress. In order to break this spell, the Beast must learn to love and be loved in return. Belle may be his last chance, as time is running out. If the Beast can learn to control his anger and find the heart he never had as a man, he may not have to live out his life in isolation. Disney’s Beauty & The Beast originally won the hearts of many as the Academy Award-winning film originally released in 1991, with a score written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman. Disney successfully adapted the film for Broadway, where it dazzled audiences for more than 13 years. Disney’s Beauty & The Beast includes the favorite songs from the film such as “Be Our Guest,” “Gaston” and “Beauty & The Beast,” and features several new songs by Alan Menken and Tim Rice, written especially for the theatrical production: "No Matter What," “Me,” and “Home,” to name a few. Our production features seniors Marissa McGrath (Belle), Jason Cilento (Beast) and James Applegate (Gaston), as well as LMS 8th grader Charlie Wright (LeFou), and a supporting cast & crew of nearly 50 students! Performance & Ticket Information Performances will take place Thursday-Saturday March 13-15 at 7:30pm, and Sunday March 16 at 3pm in the James Heard Auditorium at Dunellen High School.
