National Art Honor Society Visits Nursing Home

Saturday, January 26, a group of students from the National Art Honor Society visited the Greenbrook Manor Nursing Home to do a special art program with the residents called "Art for the Heart". Amanda Rentenberg, Jason Cilento, Ben Saulnier, Brittany Bowers and Kelsey Wenzel all assisted the residents,in making Valentine wreaths and collaged, tote caddies. Our Dunellen students were sensitive and patient to the needs of each resident-- most of which were in wheel chairs. I was a proud sponsor, and the Director was so delighted with our presence that he invited us back any time. Another trip is planned in the early Spring.

On another note- three outstanding art students, Sandra Quintero, Ishmael Montalvo and Martha Moncada are showing their work at the Du Cret School of Art in Plainfield, N.J., in a High School Art contest.  Over thirty schools are participating. The judging will be held at the end of February. Good Luck to all three.
