Director of Special Services
Start date August 22, 2016 or Sooner

Qualified individual needed to administer programs and services for classified students.

Requirements/Performance Responsibilities:
  • New Jersey Principal Certification
  • A minimum of five years experience as a Child Study Team Member or Special Education Teacher or Student Services position
  • Special Education experience in administration or alternatives that the Superintendent and Board may find appropriate
  • Demonstrated expertise and knowledge of special education law, code and guidelines
  • Oversee the district special education programs, school nursing services and student assistance program
  • Responsible for state and federal reporting, IDEA and SEMI
  • Familiar with TIENET and NCLB
  • Primary responsibility for all child find activities and community outreach programs
  • Knowledge in developing and implementing in-district programs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
