School News and Updates

The front of Dunellen High School got a facelift this summer, as the facade of the building was renovated and given a fresh coat of paint. You can see the new look in the picture above.

Students are reminded that if they want to make any changes to their schedule, they must fill out a form in the Counseling office and their counselor will call them down for a meeting. Students have only 2 more weeks to make any changes.

The Fall Sports season is underway and our athletes have been preparing all summer for competition. Be sure to come out to support our Football, Cheer, Girls and Boys Soccer, Girls Tennis, and Cross Country teams.
Congratulations to the Girls Tennis team as they picked up their first win of the season yesterday, 3-2 against South River High School.
Good luck to the Boys Soccer team as they play today at 4:00 pm v. rival Middlesex High School
The Girls Soccer team has a game @ Carteret High School at 4:00 pm today.
Tonight, the Football team plays at 7:00 pm at Highland Park High School.

Students created hexagonal connections to explore shared interests and values. Each student decorated a hexagon with words and images that represent what’s important to them, then connected their hexagons with classmates’ to highlight the common threads that unite us all.

AP Language with Mrs. Lubisco
Students are diving into their first major writing task of the year: an analysis essay based on their summer choice book. To prepare, they collaborated using Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell, practicing how to outline arguments and strengthen their own essays through shared discussion and analysis.
