Important Reminders

For the Class of 2026: As college acceptances start to roll in, please be sure to contact Ms. Markert and the counseling office so that they are aware and help to make sure everything is taken care of with your college of choice.

Especially with Midterm Exams coming, the DHS Homework Help Center runs from 2:45 - 3:45 pm every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the DHS Tech Center. Students can come to get extra help from teachers with their school work or just sit and have a quiet place to get things done. We encourage students to attend so that they have fewer or no assignments to do when they get home.

The 2025 Exodus Yearbook is on sale. To purchase a yearbook, use the following link: https://www.jostens.com/apps/store/customer/1057616/Dunellen-High-School/

Academic Corner: From the desk of Ms. Powell

Students in Miss Kamienski’s 10th Grade English classes are diving into “The Most Dangerous Game,” sharpening their analytical skills by closely examining how mood and symbolism shape the story. Through discussion and textual evidence, students are exploring how the author’s choices build suspense and deepen meaning.

Meanwhile, in Dr. Mammone’s Chemistry classes, students wrapped up a hands-on chemical reactions lab. They reviewed eight different experiments, identified the type of chemical reaction taking place, and demonstrated their understanding by writing accurately balanced chemical equations. This lab challenged students to apply both observation and critical thinking just like real scientists!
