DHS Weekly Update - 9/18/26

Thank you to all of the parents and students that were able to attend Back to School Night. It was great to see so many people in the building and we are looking forward to the new school year. Next Friday is HOMECOMING! We will celebrate the occasion with Spirit Week and a Pep Rally in school, then the Homecoming game v. Middlesex High School. We will also crown the Homecoming Queen and King.

The Spirit Week themes will be:

Tuesday - Cartoon Day - Participate by dressing up as your favorite cartoon.

Wednesday - White Lies - Wear all white with a lie.

Friday - Class Colors - Grade 9 - White, Grade 10 - Blue, Grade 11 - Red, Grade 12 - Black

A reminder that students are to put away their internet-connected devices for the entire school day! That includes cell phones, ear buds, headphones, tablets, smart watches, and smart glasses.

The DHS Homework Help Center will start on Wednesday, September 23rd, after school, from 2:45 - 3:45 pm, and every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the DHS Tech Center. Students can come to get extra help from teachers with their school work or just sit and have a quiet place to get things done. We encourage students to attend so that they have fewer or no assignments to do when they get home.

Picture Day is coming up for 9th, 10th, and 11th graders on Friday, October 9th. School pictures will be taken during students' PE/Health classes. Picture forms will be handed out during Homeroom.
